- Q. How do I set up my smartbilling instance if I need to handle the United States taxes?
A. In the United States, there are three different tax services that we can integrate with: Avalara, CSI and Sigma Systems. They are accessible through Administration> Integrations> Tax. You can enter your tax provider account credentials to complete the integration.

- Q. If I have customers who I would like to have preauthorized payments which are PAP, how would I set them up?
A. We provide predefined templates for many of the US. and Canadian banks, like ACH (NACHA), EFT and BMO. So you would just go through Administration> Integrations> Banks, PAP & EFT Processors> Add Banks, PAP & EFT Processor and input your “Account Information”, “Originator”, “Destination”, and then export template which is the payment file to be sent to the bank.
- Q. What payment providers are already integrated with your system?
A. Existing payment provider integrations can be found by going to Administration> Payment Processing Gateways> Add Payment Processing Gateway. The current options within the selection bar “Payment Gateway” include Authorize.net, Bambora, Beanstream, Elavon, Moneris, Paysafe and SlimCD, which all can be integrated with the system. We can also set up for our customers if they use a different payment provider from than ones which we already have existing integrations for. There are two options: we can either send the information through a secure API or we create an electronic file transfer for the customers.
- Q. How do I set up my payment providers to collect payments from end customers if they don't do it through the bank?
A. Many of our customers use payment providers such as Bambora, Moneris, etc., to collect payments via credit card.
